about Sarah
I'm a people whisperer.
I Used To Hate Myself.
I had a voice in my head that always put me down, telling me that I was not good, not deserving, and unworthy.
Then, I had enough.
Something deep inside me knew it was time to change how I lived my life,
and how I treated myself.
I made the leap.
It was scary and so worth it.
I began to study. I signed up for courses and got coaches. I observed myself and studied behavior change psychology. I learned the groundwork of brain anatomy and neurotransmitters.
I tried out different methods. Some worked. Some did not. After a few years (lasting change takes time), I realized that I hardly ever had any negative self-talk, and when it did come up, it was easy to recognize and diffuse.
Then I stepped back, and with all that informing me, I looked.
I saw patterns of behavior that many people, including myself, can fall into. These include perfectionism, negative self-talk, poor boundaries, self-induced stress, and overwhelm, to name a few.
Once I saw these patterns, I began to create strategies for behavior change. These are not one-size-fits-all checklists. They are flexible guidelines that together we can customize to the context of your life.
Please understand, this is not psychotherapy. This is coaching. I will talk to you, yes, but more importantly, I will ask you to take action. Manageable changes in your life and behaviors that as they build upon each other will yield big results.

I have certifications and licenses in massage therapy, yoga, personal training, clinical aromatherapy, dog training, and nutrition. I have taken in-depth continuing education in corrective exercise, behavior change psychology, communication, nutrition coaching, and advanced anatomical studies.
I have been the grateful recipient of three miraculous apprenticeships:
- Yoga practice and teaching
- Teaching anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Coaching individuals and groups on behavior change with an emphasis on weight loss.
I have taught thousands of classroom hours, both movement-based and lecture.
I have coached hundreds of people through behavior change weight loss programs in groups and one on one.
I have taught and coached people for over thirty years.
Those are the words and numbers.
What really matters is that I have always been very observant of small details and notice the undercurrents of emotion that move between all of us constantly.
My mother has a story she tells about me when I was 5 years old. We were at the beach with a group of people, and I was the only child there. I had wandered away from the adults, so she came over and asked me what I was doing.
I proceeded to tell her all about how each and every one of the people present felt about each other, including subtle undercurrents that explained their behavior. I told her many things she hadn't known.
That same year, I told her I couldn’t ride the city bus anymore. When she asked me why, I said everyone was too sad. She was a good mom for me. After that, we walked.
I am very sensitive. At times in my life, this has led to depression and overwhelm. Over the years, I have learned how to turn down the dial and create a supportive environment for myself.
Now I really enjoy my life and have found a way to use my perceptiveness to help people.

All of my coaching and courses have the same goal-
To teach you the life skills you need to take good care of yourself and experience more joy in your daily life.
And how do we do that?
We learn how to kindly manage (not control) our inner state.
Our thoughts, emotions, and reactions.
The key is that we don't just talk about it.
We practice skills and adapt them to our individual lives.
You do not have to feel at the mercy of the effect other people, or the world in general, has on you.
This is more than trying to hack your life with habits that feel forced.
All the lessons are based on current behavior change psychology research and tried-and-true methods that are successful for my clients.
This is building self-trust and confidence. For real.
